Melissa - I'm not sure how to get ahold of you outside of your blog, and hope you are still notified when comments are left?
Thanks for your nice note on my most recent blog post. The Aquaphobia socks are a great pair to knit -- the pattern is expertly written and very clear. Not to mention the result is incredibly stellar. It knits up such thick, yet floofy fabric that feels simply amazing on both the fingers and toes. Your husband would love a pair -- but be warned -- you'll need a pair too!
Congratulations on the birth of a son! What happy news. Our adoption continues progressing along, with each day marking one less of waiting. Next week we'll have been on the "wait list" for 9 months -- kinda hard to believe. We're hopeful that 2011 will bring our referral to us, and then anticipate our first trip to Ethiopia to come sometime early in 2012. I'll keep my blog up-to-date with news as it arrives.
The dehydrator is a dream! I'm fairly obsessed with dried fruit - thus far have only so far done bananas - though growing up we did pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, apples, cherries, and lots of fruit leathers. I've never dried mango -- though I bet it's incredible! I look forward to summer returning and all the seed/stone fruits ripening in abundance ready for me to dry!
